OUR AGRICULTURE

The olive groves cover approximately 4 hectars with about 1000 trees divided between the local variaties of Frantoio, Coraggiolo, Moraiolo, Leccino and Pendolino.
All our trees are cultivated organically. They are pruned annually in order to restrict and concentrate the quantity of fruit they produce thereby obtaining oil with the tipical of the Region of Chianti Classico. Podere Consalvo is in the heart of this region.

OUR BEES AND HONEY

Our farm has recently started beehives and producing honey. Beekeeping is a charming and beautiful activity, and it is fondamental for maintaining the natural biodiversity in the countryside. We do not want destroy what Nature has given us through intense and immoderate exploitation, and bees survive only in areas where no chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used. We protect our land and the result is in the rich, pure and genuine taste of our honey.
